After watching the DVD copy of the movie, I was persuaded to read the book. Besides reading is my passion. I began to be hooked with Edward the first time I watched the movie. Yeah! And let me just tell you...the grin, the eyes, the hair? He lights up the screen. If I could bottle that and sell it? Haha!

(Who's obsessed NOW, huh?)

(Just kidding. It was always me.)

I started to grin in the chapter where Edward and Bella crossed their paths in the story. "nyork" "nyork" "nyork"

A few of my favorite scenes? Yes! I have depicted a wild imagination and fantasies while reading.

* Biology scene where Edward introduced himself to Bella after a couple of weeks that he was gone staying away with Bella. Edward's spinning Bella's mind into confusion trying to be approachable. Campy, camp! camp!

* My heart started beating a mile a minute when his Volvo comes screeching onto the street in Port Angeles where those stupid guys are about to hurt Bella. I liked how in the scenes, they actually had him coming out of the car. I thought it was a bit more believable. I mean, we all know Edward is protective, and has a temper. Of COURSE he'd get out of the car.

* Bella's self Confession: "First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him and I didn't know how potent that part might me - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I WAS UNCONDITIONALLY AND IRREVOCABLE INLOVE WITH HIM. "sigh"

* Even though it is controversial among die-hard Twilighters, I LOVED the scene where he brought Bella home to meet his family. She was being welcomed and loved by the whole family, but Rosalie as an exception.

* Vampire baseball. Cheesy? A little. Campy? A lot. Don't care. Loved it.

* All of the scenes where they were "getting to know each other." They heavily glossed over those parts, but his looking-at-Bella grin makes me grin right back.

* The night when Edward jumped into Bella's room, where they cuddled and teased each other. Bella misbehaved trying to kiss Edward intimately. Edward backing out, stopping his emotions that he might harm Bella.(Love, Love, Love, Love, Love! hahahaha!) But despite Bella's repeated misconduct, Edward's loving him deeply.

* The hunting phase - Edward and Bella parting their ways trying to hide and trick James. Before leaving, their emotional teary eyed moment which is my fave dialogue in the book.
Bella : I love you!
Edward : You are the most important thing to me now. The most important thing to me ever. You are my life now!

Now, I will not go so far as to say that this is some of the best books I've ever read. They tend to be a little long, and in some cases the situations are over explained.

But it doesn't matter.

I won't tell you much about the books. Now, I'm digging the second book , "New Moon." If you've read them, you know. And if you haven't, at least give the first one a try. They won't be everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure.

(Like, if you're a dude, for example.)

These books are for every girl who has ever loved the wrong guy. The worst possible guy in the world. The one you couldn't get out of your mind, or your heart, or, let's face it, your bed. The guy your parents warned you about.

The guy you were sure could never love you back, no matter what he promised. The guy that would be the end of your innocence, whether you'd been brokenhearted before him or not.

The guy that gave new meaning to "waiting for the other shoe to drop" because that's how you felt every time you were with him. Like it could be the last.

But...what if it didn't have to be that way?

What if that guy could be good, at the same time? What if looks were deceiving? What if he loved you just as much as you loved him? Or...more? What if he took everything you ever thought you believed in, and turned it upside down?

What if everything you ever wanted worked out?

I read these books and I thought about a time when I loved the wrong guy. And I thought about how different my life would've been if that guy had all the characteristics that drew me towards him in the first place, combined with the one that would've kept me close.

I am a strong believer in fate. And I am openminded to the unknown.

I don't think that you can have EVERYTHING you want in life. I think we pick the things that matter the most, and make them our priorities. At least, we should. Sometimes, those priorities get a little out of whack, but we manage to get back on track.

Like me, for example. I spent the last week wishing Hubs was a vampire. Now I just wish he'd stop snoring.

This is my story and I'm sticking to it. =)

I’ve got this beauty tips from Cosmo Beauty Book. Sure, these tips might sound strange at first (“you put cream where?!), but there’s logic to them. These are the real gems:

1) Powder your Roots
Sometimes, conditioning everyday makes hair oily.” So if your hairline starts to look greasy, get a big, fully makeup brush, and dip into a pot of loose powder. Tap it once on the back of your hand to remove the excess, then dust it over your roots. It mops up oil and blends into your strands, so no one will know you didn’t shower.

2) Scent Strands with Perfume
Spray a light shot of fragrance into the bristles of your brush. Run it through strands from roots to ends and your hair will smell amazing throughout the day. “But don’t overdo it, since the alcoholic content of perfume may dry out your hair.”

3) Cure Kalyos with Jelly
Slather of petroleum jelly on the soles of your feet, and put on socks before bed to dissolve tough calluses overnight.

4) Spot Treat-Smudges
Dip a cotton swab in eye-makeup remover, and trace it along your lids to erase any slipups or goofs when there’s no time to redo your whole look. “Just reapply foundation or primer to maintain color balance,”

5) Fix a Flushed Face
If you turn beet-red after every workout—and this goes on for hours even though you’re healthy and hydrated—pop a non-drowsy antihistamine like Claritin after exercising to reduce redness.

6) Soften Your Bod with Avocado
Take a ripe avocado, remove the pit and skin, and mash it up in a bowl. Slather the pulp all over you body, let it sit for 20 minutes, and then rise off. Avocado is a natural moisturizer, and your skin will be so soft afterwards. Don’t want to DIY? Try a non-drying wash like The Face Shop Sweet Body Moisture Cleanser with Avocado.

7) Super Glue a Nail
Instead of tearing off your fingernail when it breaks, apply a tiny dab of super glue over the split, and paint a generous layer of your favorite nail polish shad over it. Go for an opaque option (like red, purple, or coral) to camouflage and seal the crack.

8) Use Makueup Remover On Stubborn Lipstick
Don’t try to rub off red lipstick with tissue, since this will just smear it across your mouth and make a bigger mess. Instead, take a cotton ball, dip it in makeup remover, and just dab to erase the dark stain fast. “If your skin is sensitive, try an eye-makeup remover instead. It works jus well and is more gently on your delicate lips, too.”

9) Tame Brows with Eye Cream
Pat any kind of rich eye cream over brows to help keep them hydrated and banish those icky white specks that look like dandruff. “You can also try a heavy moisturizer. Just don’t use too much or it’ll end up looking too greasy or shiny.

10) Buff with Baking Soda
If you find yourself streaking (not glowing) after applying self-tanner, put some baking soda on a loofah and scrub away the stripes. Better yet, buff before tanning because “not exfoliating properly beforehand tends to cause streaking.”

11) Brush on Hair Spray
For the final step of your blow-dry, mist hair spray onto your brush and run it through strands from roots to tips. This way, your’ do doesn’t look so plastered and stiff, but still holds volume and shine. It’s a great technique to smooth out unruly baby hairs as well.

12) Boost Body Lotion with Baby Oil
If you’re craving uber shiny legs that aren’t greasy, add a drop of baby oil into your normal body lotion for extra luster.

13) Freeze your Eyeliner
Does the tip of your eyeliner pencil crumble and smear on your lids. Here’s a tip: Store the liner in the freezer for 15 minutes before use, so the tip firms up and glides smoothly across your skin. Most eyeliners are made of was, and heat causes them to melt. So freezing them is a great option instead of throwing them away.

14) Use Toothpaste on a Zit
Use only a pea-sized amount of a white, creamy formula—not the gel ones with crystals. Let it sit for 15 minutes to absorb the oil, so the pimple won’t get more clogged. Then, gently wash it off.

15) Groom Brows with a Toothbrush
Mist an unused toothbrush or eyebrow comb with hair spray to help flatten and tame unruly brows. But, there are also brow gels that come with a handy mascara wand. Check out brands like Fashion 21, VOV, or The Body Shop.

16) Put Diaper-Rash Cream On Dry Spots
Slather on a thick layer of diaper-rash cream to heal cracked elbows and feet.

17) Heat up Your Curler
Most Asians have stick straight lashes that slope downwards, so blast your metal eyelash curler with a hair dryer for a couple of seconds to heat it up. This makes it easier to curl your fringe and makes the curl last longer, too. For more oomph, use a waterproof mascara afterwards to thicken your lashes an set the curl more effectively.

18) Use Soap Without Water
You know those fancy bars that too pretty to use? Toss them in your underwear or tee-shirt drawers to make your garments and you—smell delicious. Try Origins Jump Start Stimulating Body Bar.

19) Steamroll Flyways
Spritz on hair spray, then roll the can over your strands. The sound bottle fits the curved shaped of your head, locks in the spray, and flattens out frizz.

20) Lubricate your Fringe
An easy way to draw attention to your eyes without putting on a pile of makeup is to lightly comb petroleum jelly lightly through the tips of eyelashes for a sexy, subtle sparkle. Glycerin, an ingredient in petroleum jelly, is great on black lashes because it catches the light and makes your lashes shine. For more dramatic, bejeweled effect, try Revlon Lash Jewels.

21) Use a Hand Dryer To Dry Strands
If you get to the office with damp strands, head to the bathroom and dry your locks under the hand dryer. You can try twisting the nozzle, so it blasts your hair directly. Or, you can just bend over and rough-dry your hair with your hands. Once dry, finish by running a brush through your strands and applying some serum to the ends to tame frizz. This way, you won’t head to your meeting with wet, unruly hair.

22) Spike lotion With Bronzer
If you don’t have time to book a self-tanning session, mix a few pumps of body bronzer with regular hand lotion and pat in on your legs for a gradual dose of sexy, beachy color.

23) Exfoliate your Pits
If your underarms starts to look dry and flaky, an easy trick to exfoliate them with a gently face scrub. This keeps your pits pretty and sleeveless-ready. Tip: Do this gently, though, since rubbing your underarms extra hard can lead to friction-induced darkening.

24) Shave with Conditioner
Ran out of shaving cream? Go double duty by coating your stems with a thick hair conditioner. It softens the hair so it’s easier to shave off, and makes legs feel amazingly silky. Most conditioners have trace amounts of lanolin and methyl parabolin, which make skin silky soft and prep it for shaving.

25) Amp Shine with Vinegar
Mix one-party vinegar with four-parts carbonated water, and soak dry hair. Leave on for 15 minutes before you shampoo to lock in shine and combat dullness.

26) Customize your Body Lotion
Instead of shelling out for an expensive perfumed body product, you can make your own by pouring a few drops of fragrance into any scent-free lotion. Rub it on—the scent will last for hours.

27) Brush with Mouthwash
If you’re too wiped out after a late night of partying to clean your teeth, rinse with water and mouthwash. Then use a dry toothbrush on the area where your teeth hit your gums.

28) Press A Tea Bag on Splotches
If your skin looks irritated and puffy for some reason, steep a bag of green tea for a minute or two, let it cool down, and dab it over your face. The antioxidants in the tea reduce the inflammation.

29) Make an Egg White Mask
To revive tired, dull skin without hitting the spa table, try this: Crack open an egg in a bowl, separate the yolk, and use the egg whites to make a face mask. The proteins help heal and restore skin’s moisture. Leave the mask on for five minutes, and rinse off.

30) Dry Sensitive Skin with T.P.
Instead of drying your face with a scratchy towel, pat with toilet paper—it’s ultra soft on delicate skin (and bums!).

Heart's Day

Once again, I've been in and out of the blogging loop lately. I know I've been somewhat neglecting this place, but I assure you it's because I'm spending my time having TONS of adventures which I will then turn into scintillating blog posts.

(Because really, my absence couldn't POSSIBLY be related to my alleged laziness, right?)

(Or could it?)

After a week of uncertainties, I'm certainly okay now and I'm back with my crazy stuffs..haha!

For Valentines Day - (11:35am) Hubby & I arrived at SM Pampanga and watched KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez' second movie - WHEN I MET YOU after doing FOR THE FIRST TIME. (Lately, Im'm hooked with KC! I'm fascinated with her voice & her acting. yeah I am blaming joy for loving KC!)

At two in the afternoon, Hubby & I ate Lunch at Tokyo - Tokyo. I ordered Shrimp Tempura - as I habitually eat. We ate quickly for the reasons that we have our scheduled plan at 2:30. Before we leave SM I checked first for my Hazel Contact Lenses, but badly it's still unavailable.

At three we arrived at Bahay Pag-ibig, a home for the Aged at Telebastagan, Pampanga. My Hubby with our Cybercare Family have our charity works for the less fortunate Lolo's & Lola's who in their old ages were being left behind by their families. Not being cruel, but in the midst of their lives are just waiting for the "right time." It somehow touches me staring each one of them, because instead of being with their family who's supposed to take care of them, those people who really needs attention are being abandoned and taken cared of by someone they aren't related to. I've got the chance to talk to a couple and an aged woman- with the sensitivity, I have felt their need for attention and love that at their old age they deserve the affection of their family and loved ones. For the 25 years of my life, this year's Valentines Day, spending & sharing my time with these people makes it a significant one and worth remembering. They have somehow touch my life.

After giving enjoyment to the elders at the same time giving gifts, we dined at Apag Marangle, where native cuisines where served. "Relyenong Palaka," "Adobong Kamamaro" or Cricket, Sisig, Pinakbet and Sinigang sa Miso filled my empty stomach.. Hmmmm.. Yum-yum! It was my first time to eat those exotic foods, and that first time - no regrets. (",)

Thanks to Ate Fe for the dinner treat. Dinner ended with the sharing and evaluation of the First Project of Cybercare. Indeed, it was really a success. Overall, 10 is such a good point. (clap, clap, clap!)

Leaving Apag Marangle, Hubby & I went back at SM, shopped for some stuffs and went home. Unexpectedly, out of plan, we mingled the party at Pier 1 with Kuya Vic & family who went to Subic for the Oldies but Goodies Band Group. Hubs & I went home at 2am with beam in our faces in spite of feeling exhausted and enervated the whole day.

Monday Thoughts

Monday, is such a tough day for me. Aside from feeling bad, I got tons of work loads on my desk. What a tiring day! Anyway, I've got to check my email before going home. I got this forwarded email from a friend close to my heart. Somehow, it really touches me.

Rick Warren

'Purpose Driven Life ' author and pastor of Saddleback Church in California
In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said:

People ask me, What is the purpose of life? And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.

One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body but not the end of me.

I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity.

We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to make sense.

Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of one, or you're getting ready to go into another one.

The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your comfort.

God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.

We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The goal is to grow in character, in Christ likeness.

This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my wife, Kay, getting cancer.

I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you go to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore.

Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life.

No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on.

And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.

You can focus on your purposes , or you can focus on your problems.

If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness, 'which is my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.

We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her.

It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character, given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her closer to Him and to people.

You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.

Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me instantly very wealthy.

It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of ease.

So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do, II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72

First, in spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one bit. We made no major purchases.
Second, about midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the church.

Third, we set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation.

Fourth, I added up all that the church had paid me in the 24 years since I started the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.

We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity?

Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?

When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn't put me on earth just to fulfil a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do.

That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.

Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.
Every moment, THANK GOD.

My Dilemma

I'm currently at work now, but there's a part of me that makes me unfocused to what I'm doing. It's freaking making me distructed. I know I'm not okay. But of all things, I'm fighting!

I question a lot. My mind lingers on lots of decisions that I was supposed to do.

I just keep on asking.

Why do people persist in a dissatisfying relationship, unwilling either to work toward solutions or end it and move on? It's because they know changing will lead to the unknown, and most people believe that the unknown will be much more painful than what they're already experiencing.

I really want to fight for this emotional feeling, it's torturing me little by little. And I hate it. I just want to be loved and be happy. Is that so much to ask?! "sigh"

I've been a bit lonely since Wednesday night for some personal reasons. I'm trying to cheer up myself yesterday and up to now. But my daughter's picture edited through photo shop really shifted my mood. I was at the office, and I'm really holding the sudden burst of laughter because every one else was serious doing their jobs. Leigh's Dora picture really made me laugh.

Seen the comparison? SOooooo cute. Leigh looks like Dora. She really made my day! Thanks to her. I'm a bit okay now. =) Still with laughters staring at her picture. Harharharhar! =)

I used to believe in fairy tales when I was a kid. The fantasy of my life would be wearing a white ball gown and a prince charming who’d carry me away to a castle built on a hill. I lie in my bed at night and close my eyes and had complete and utter faith of Santa Claus , tooth fairy and a prince charming – they were all close to me that I could taste and smell them. But eventually I grew up and one day I opened my eyes and the fairy tale disappears.

But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely, because almost everyone has that smallest bit of faith and hope that one day they would open their eyes and it would all come true. At the end of the day , faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don’t really expect it. It’s like one day you realize that the fairy tale is slightly different than you dream. The castle, well it may not be a castle. And its not so important that its happily ever after – its just that its happy right now. See , once in a while , once in a blue moon , people will surprise you. And once in a while people may even take your breath away.

We all think were going to be great and we feel a little bit robbed when our expectations aren't met . but sometimes our expectations sell us short. Sometimes the expected simply pales in comparison to the unexpected. You got to wander why we cling to our expectations , because the expected is just what keeps us steady. Standing, still the expected is just the beginning, the unexpected is what changes our lives.

Shopping Treat

The whole week was really stressful. Actually, the whole month of January, I was loaded with works at the office. Almost 3 consecutive Saturday, I spent the 7 hours at my desk trying to finish my pending works. Anyway, it's an overtime with pay. Finally, last Saturday I've got to treat myself. Shopping is really women's therapy either depressed, bored, & stressed.

Hubs and I ate lunch at Tokyo Tokyo. (again, again & again) We're loving Japanese foods. Yeah! I ordered Shrimp Tempura and California Makki. And at lunch got to meet Ate Fe, Hubs cyber friend.

First I bought 2 cute kiddie dresses at the Department Store for Leigh. With Green clover design - my daughter's green fave color she often times babble. And a white dress with a light blue polka dots. (And if it just fits me too, I'll borrow it! haha! (",)

Then, I went straight to Women's Section and find Neckties for my Office Attire. I bought two, a white & black with floral designs.

Then I proceeded searching for a new Office Attire which I can wear whenever I don't fill like wearing my uniform - a bad habit! Anyway, white resembles elegance, and I can match it with belt of dark colors.

After paying those items, we took dinner at Teriyaki Boy. Kani Salad and Mango Shake as a beverage filled my hungry stomach.

I went back at the Department Store and bought the white handbag, I really desire to have. A few minutes later..I was smiling to the world holding a plastic bag..ha-hah!
